Facebook Fundraising for MAB Community Services

At the Massachusetts Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired, we rely on our community; for volunteers to support our participants, donors to support our program staff, and our community to support us all. We’ve seen people dedicating their birthdays in order to raise money for the Massachusetts Association for the Blind! This personalized fundraising has always put a smile on our face and the surprise funding can make a huge difference for our program staff. To easily set up a Facebook fundraiser  Click Here

How to do it:

1) Open your Facebook page and select fundraise

2) Go to your ‘home’ page, and look on the left side column. You should see the
‘fundraisers’ option. (You may need to click ‘see more’)

3) Click ‘Raise Money For a Nonprofit’ and select MAB Community Services as your charity. (This is the name Facebook knows us by)

4) Set your fundraising goal and time-frame. From $100 to $1000 every bit helps, pick a goal that’s ambitious but practical. We suggest ending the fundraiser after fourteen days.

If you’d like to personalize your fundraiser, consider uploading a cover photo. We suggest using this one Here.

5) Go Live and invite people on your friends’ list. Engage with them! Share on your timeline, and consider posting more than once. Not everyone will see something when you post just once.

6) Thank people as they donate and watch numbers go up!  Seriously, these people are donating  to MAB because of YOU – because they love you, they appreciate you, they think you’re the bee’s knees (and we do, too!).

These fundraisers mean a lot to us and to our program staff, and let us all know how great our community is!
